Georgia reports 4,778 new cases of coronavirus of 43,741 tests

Georgia has reported 4,778 new cases of coronavirus out of 43,741 tests in the past 24 hours. 

 

7,753 individuals have recovered and 79 others have died from the virus in the reported period. 

 

Active cases stand at 48,963. 

 

Georgia has had 549,811 cases of coronavirus since February 2020.  493,414 of the 549,811 individuals have recovered and 7,408 have died from the virus in the country so far. 

 

Most of the new cases were reported in Tbilisi - 1,888, Adjara - 423 and Imereti regions - 608 cases.

 

1,184,306 individuals have received their one dose of the vaccine so far, while 393,764 are completely vaccinated. 

 

About 13 percent of the country’s population have been vaccinated with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines. 

 

56 percent of the school personnel have been vaccinated ahead of the academic year.
