Public transport in all big cities of Georgia to resume operations next week

Public transport in all big cities of Georgia which was stopped starting August 14, will resume operations on Monday, September 13, the government of Georgia says.

Georgian health officials state that in-person studies are expected to resume starting October 4.

The government is discussing the possibility of vaccinating the individuals between 12 and 16 who have some chronic diseases.

Currently they are not eligible for vaccination.

Health officials say that ‘unfortunately’ vaccination rate is not high among students and the registration for the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine has also decreased.

As of now 17 percent of the country’s adult population has been fully vaccinated.
