GD claims its mayoral candidate in Tbilisi Kaladze will win by 57.9 % of votes

The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party has released its polls ahead of the October 2 municipal elections, stating that their mayoral candidate in Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze will win the elections by 57.9 percent of votes and there will be no need for the second round. 

 

GD says that the united opposition’s candidate for Tbilisi mayor Nika Melia will come second with 27.8 percent of votes, while ex-PM Giorgi Gakharia will be the third runner with 5.3 percent. 

 

The party says that the polls were conducted in the capital between September 16-20 and 2,792 individuals, eligible to vote, participated in it.
