Georgia reports 1,698 new cases of coronavirus, daily deaths stand at 38

Georgia has reported 1,698 new cases of coronavirus of 25,692 tests, 1,910 recoveries and 38 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

 

22,635 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 as of today.

 

Georgia has recorded 603,763 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020 of which 573,353 patients have recovered and 8,749 have died from the virus.

 

Most of the new cases were reported in the capital Tbilisi - 518, Adjara - 120 and Imereti regions - 325.

 

16,861 individuals are undergoing treatment at home, while more than 4,800 are in hospitals.

 

1,715,073 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  751,410 have been completely vaccinated. 

 

Georgian health officials say that the rate of  coronavirus vaccination has dropped in the county in recent days which may lead to an increased number of deaths during the next wave of the virus, allegedly at the end of autumn.
