World Armwrestling Federation disqualifies Georgian Armwrestling Federation

The World Armwrestling Federation’s (WAF) Executive Board has disqualified the Georgian Armwrestling United National Federation from any WAF major event (European and World) or any other international events organized by WAF members for its failure to organize the 2021 World Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling Championships.

The Georgian Armwrestling United National Federation has to fulfil  financial penalties to revoke the disqualification.

“World Armwrestling Federation (WAF) Executive Board took this very hard decision due to the serious breach of World’s contract, failing to organize the 2021 World Armwrestling and Para-Armwrestling Championships, misleading WAF management and WAF members, causing huge financial and image loses for WAF and WAF members teams,” WAF says.

During disqualification, Georgian athletes will not be able to register into the WAF championships.
