Georgia ranks 21st among 180 states for effective governance

Georgia has ranked 21st among 180 foreign states in the recently published Governance Index by SolUbility transnational research centre. 

 

Georgia has improved its ranking by eight points compared to last year and received 62 points out of a total 100. By the result Georgia is among the top 20 European countries and the best in the region. 

 

Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, says that the ‘excellent result’ will further raise awareness about the country worldwide. 

 

The 2021 Governance Ranking is topped by Estonia, followed by Ireland, Czechia and Finland and is dominated by Central and Eastern European nations.

 

The UK is ranked 62, the US at 86, while China is ranked 45 and Russia - 53. 

 

The index is based on quantitative data series – i.e. not qualitative evaluation of government systems. the Governance Index does not make political judgments.
