Coronavirus: daily infections stand at 4,762 in Georgia, 49,523 remain infected

Georgia has reported 4,762 new cases of coronavirus of 48,090 tests, 3,953 recoveries and 43 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

49,523 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The country has confirmed 698,944 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020, of which 639,564 have recovered and 9,831 have died from the virus.

The new cases in Tbilisi and regions are as follows:

Tbilisi - 1,523 cases 

Adjara - 179 cases 

Imereti - 933 cases

Kvemo Kartli - 273 cases 

Shida Kartli - 378 cases 

Guria - 116 cases 

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 378 cases 

Kakheti - 658 cases

Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 166 cases

Samtskhe-Javakheti - 103 cases

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 55 cases

6,186 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 

42,362 individuals are at home as they suffer from a mild form of the viru.

1,955,943 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, of which  928,081 have been fully vaccinated.
