Opposition changes its plans to block entrance of government administration for PM

The opposition which had plans not to allow the country’s PM into the administration building of the government of Georgia ‘has changed the move a bit,’ Droa party leader Elene Khoshtaria has stated.

She said, however, that the position remains unchanged, ‘that the PM who makes us ashamed for his statements made towards Ukraine must not represent the Georgian people.’

Khoshtaria said that she and a group of demonstrators, who took to the streets yesterday in support of Ukraine, spend the night at parliament.

Thousands of Georgians took to the streets yesterday in central Tbilisi to express support for Ukraine.

Many of them said that the views and the statements of the country’s PM being made towards Ukrainian issues did not correspond with their position.

However, the Georgian Dream government says that they act based on the state interests and that the opposition is trying ‘to drag the country’ into the war.
