914 Ukrainian children studying in Georgia

In total of 912 Ukrainian students of different ages have been enrolled in Tbilisi and the regional schools,  including 316 students in the Ukrainian sector of No.41 Mikhail Grushevsky Tbilisi Public School and 100 in the Ukrainian sector of Batumi No. 20 Public School (416 in total in the Ukrainian sector). 

Mikhail Grushevsky Public School No. 41 employs a total of 22 teachers in the Ukrainian-speaking sector, seven of whom are Georgian citizens. 

Batumi Public School No. 20 employs a total of seven teachers in the Ukrainian-speaking sector, of which six are citizens of Ukraine and one is a citizen of Georgia.

According to the decision of the Government of Georgia, students who, as a result of the hostilities in Ukraine, were unable to continue their secondary education in Ukrainian schools and expressed a desire to continue their studies in Georgia, have been enrolled  in a simplified manner.


By the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, Ukrainian-speaking sectors have been opened in Tbilisi and Batumi, where students have the opportunity to receive education in their mother tongue, in accordance with the Ukrainian curriculum.
