Georgian Interior Minister extends condolences over deadly Yerevan explosion

Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtan Gomelauri on Wednesday expressed his condolences over the deadly blast in the Armenian capital on August 14, killing 16, in a letter sent to his Armenian colleague Vahe Ghazaryan. 

Gomelauri expressed his “deep” sorrow for the people who died in the incident, while wishing “speedy recovery” to more than 60 injured. 

“On behalf of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs, I would like to express my deep sorrow over the powerful explosion that occurred in the shopping center of Yerevan, Surmalu on  August 14”,said Gomelauri.

The blast at Surmalu market in central Yerevan killed at least 16 people and left more than 60 injured.
