Georgia reports 12,595 cases of coronavirus in one week

Georgia has reported 12,595 new cases of coronavirus between August 14 and 21, with the virus claiming six lives, the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia said on Tuesday. 

According to the agency, 12,329 people have recovered from the virus in the reported period. 


The 12,595  new cases were confirmed out of the 74 171 tests conducted across the country. 


Georgia has confirmed 1,723,087 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 


The virus has claimed 16,883 lives in the country.
