A gunman killed 13 people including seven children and wounded another 21 at a school in Russia on Monday, before killing himself, with the motive still unclear, local officials in Izhevsk, the capital of Udmurtia, close to Moscow, said.
Those wounded were 14 children and seven adults, said official agencies.
The school educates children between grades 1 and 11. The gunman broke into the Izhevsk school in the morning, and reportedly directly opened fire with two weapons.
The Russian Investigative Committee claims that the attacker was a graduate of the same school.
