After the announcement of partial military mobilization by Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 21, at least 600-700 thousand people have left Russia, Forbes released the figures on Tuesday based on a source in the administration of the president of Russia.

The publication wrote that according to the information provided by another source, after the announcement of the mobilisation, a total of almost one million people left Russia, adding that it was impossible to determine how many people left the country for tourism purposes.

The media suggested that between September 21 and October 4, 20,000 Russian citizens left for Kazakhstan, and approximately 69,000 citizens entered Georgia between September 21 and 29. The number of people entering Georgia from Russia in the following days averaged 6,000 per day. 

According to Forbes, 66,000 Russian citizens entered Finland between September 21 and October 3. On September 22-28, 6,268 citizens of Russia went to Mongolia. According to the publication, from September 21 to September 28, 3,526 citizens of Russia entered Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, Forbes noted that Russian citizens went to Armenia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates after the mobilization, although the statistics of the entry of Russian citizens to these countries have not been published publicly.

Forbes said that at the beginning of September, even before the announcement of mobilisation, Rosstat announced that 419,000 people left Russia at the beginning of 2022, which is twice the number of the same figure in 2021.
