Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastirsky said on Wednesday that the bodies of 63 Ukrainians tortured and killed by the Russian troops had been found in the recently de-occupied territories of Kherson.

He said that exhumation of the corpses was still ongoing, with the death toll expected to rise.

"The search has just started," he said and noted that 11 buildings had already been discovered in the Kherson district, where the Russians had captured the local population.

“The occupiers had used four buildings to torture people”, said the minister.

"A total of 436 criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of war crimes”, he said.
