UK announces £8 mln in support of Ukraine

The UK authorities on Thursday pledged to allocate three million pounds to restore vital infrastructure to Ukraine, and five million pounds to supply Ukrainian grain to poor countries, after the meeting of British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv during the day.

"For us, at this crucial time, Great Britain stands by Ukraine. We will never forget that”, Zelenskyy tweeted following the meeting.

Ukraine has been resisting Russia’s aggression since late February.
