US’ first female ambassador to Russia arrives in Moscow

Lynne Tracy, the United States first female ambassador to Russia, has arrived in Moscow, with the embassy publishing the diplomat’s photo on its Telegram page in the Russian capital on Thursday, amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. 

President Joe Biden nominated Tracy to serve in the post in September of the last year, when the latter was serving as the US ambassador to Armenia.

She served as the second-highest official at the US embassy in Moscow from 2014 to 2017.
