US embassy cites “sharing her country's culture” as a reason for selecting Georgian as “student of the month” in FLEX programme

A Georgian student, studying in America through the FLEX exchange program, was selected as a “student of the month” from among hundreds of participants across the world, the US Embassy in Georgia said on Wednesday.

The mission stressed Mariam Kurdadze had been chosen for her “high academic performance, volunteerism, and for showing exceptional enthusiasm in sharing her country's culture”.

“Promotion of Georgian culture in the United States is an important part of our exchange programs. Georgian participants always shined in this role, and throughout 30 years of our diplomatic relations, thousands of Americans were personally introduced to Georgia and fell in love with this country”, said the Embassy.
