The ongoing Hamas-Israel conflict that erupted earlier this week has killed at least 31 journalists, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) said in its latest finding this week.

The death toll includes 26 Palestinians, four Israelis and one Lebanese journalist. Another eight journalists have been injured, and nine are still missing.

The organization which promotes press freedom worldwide with an international staff that monitors and reports on press freedom violations and attacks on journalists, said it is investigating unconfirmed reports of missing journalists and others who may have been killed, detained or injured.
