The Emergency Management Service of Georgia on Thursday confirmed the ninth body had been recovered in the village of Nergeeti, located in the Baghdati Municipality of western Georgia. Over the past hours, efforts were focused on locating one missing person.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported that all victims of the landslide have now been accounted for. 

It stressed over 200 rescuers from the Emergency Management Service had conducted continuous search operations in the disaster area, utilizing appropriate equipment, flotation devices, and drones. 

A team of canine specialists also participated in the search and rescue efforts. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Ioseb Chelidze, and the Head of the Emergency Management Service, Temur Mgebrishvili, supervised the rescue operation.

The landslide occurred at dawn on February 7 in the Imereti region, specifically in the village of Nergeeti within the Baghdati municipality. Four houses were engulfed by the land mass.
