11 demonstrators, 3 media workers, 1 police officer hospitalised after Tbilisi protests on Tuesday

Tuesday’s protests in Tbilisi against the Government’s decision to delay EU accession talks until 2028 resulted in 15 hospitalisations, including 11 demonstrators, three media workers, and one police officer, the Georgian Health Ministry confirmed on Wednesday.

While none of the injuries were life-threatening, several individuals remain under medical care. A 21-year-old protester at the Ingorokva Clinic suffered severe frontal bone and eye injuries but is in stable condition under medically induced sleep, according to Nino Kharaishvili, head of the clinic’s neurological department.

Over 20 emergency teams were mobilised at the protest site, providing medical assistance to dozens, including law enforcement and media personnel, who did not require hospitalisation, the Ministry said.
