Georgia’s Special Investigation Service is investigating 319 alleged rights violations during the November and December protests in Tbilisi, including cases involving journalists, amid protests against the Government’s decision last week to “delay” the country’s European Union accession until 2028.
So far, 140 individuals, including five journalists, have been interviewed, and 42 citizens have undergone medical examinations. Investigators are reviewing video footage and gathering evidence from law enforcement, medical facilities, and emergency services, the agency said.
