Law enforcement detained 34 individuals on Monday during a protest on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, against the Government decision last week to halt EU integration until 2028, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed. The arrests were made under the Code of Administrative Offenses, it said on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry, 12 law enforcement officers were injured in the protest. The detainees were transferred to various temporary detention facilities.

The Ministry of Health reported that emergency teams transported 26 people to medical facilities from the protest site, including 23 protest participants and three representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Some of the injured remain under medical supervision, while others have been discharged.

“None of the injured are in life-threatening condition,” the Ministry stated, adding that medical assistance was also provided to those who did not require hospitalization, including rally participants, media representatives, and law enforcement personnel.
