The United Kingdom has authorized Ukraine to use British-made Storm Shadow missiles for strikes on Russian territory, media reports said on Thursday.
This development comes as Russian forces continue to target energy and civilian infrastructure in northeastern Ukraine.
Citing government sources, The Guardian reported the decision had been made to permit Kyiv to deploy the long-range cruise missiles against targets inside Russia, though an official announcement has yet to be made.
The matter is also not expected to be discussed during Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s upcoming meeting with the US President Joe Biden in Washington on Friday.
