Authorities in Russia’s Belgorod region have reported another attack originating from Ukraine, marking the latest in a series of cross-border strikes.
District Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced the news on Telegram on Monday, saying that “morning shooting” had wounded eight civilians, with one in critical condition. Several homes were also reportedly damaged during the attack.
While Gladkov did not specify the type of shooting, an air alert had been declared in Belgorod Oblast roughly two hours prior due to a perceived missile threat. Belgorod, which borders Ukraine, is among the Russian regions frequently targeted by Ukrainian Defense Forces using drones and missiles.
Kyiv has not commented on the incident so far.
