European Council President Charles Michel stated that the decision about Georgia’s future lies solely in the hands of the Georgian people. he made the comment after meeting with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili on Wednesday.
“Meeting with President Zurabishvili at a crucial moment for Georgia. As a candidate country, Georgia needs to deepen its reforms in line with our common democratic values. Reforms, the rule of law, and democratic principles are at the core of the EU path. A decision on Georgia’s future can only be made in Georgia by the Georgian people,” Charles Michel wrote on X.
