Nika Gvaramia, a leader of the Coalition for Change, announced on Tuesday that all members of the coalition’s election list were refusing to cooperate with the Georgian Parliament, calling it illegitimate. He emphasized that participation in the parliament would be seen as complicity in the government’s alleged election fraud.
“All of us on this [election] list refuse to cooperate in any way with the regime that steals elections and expresses the interests of the Russian Federation in our homeland,” Gvaramia stated at a briefing.
Gvaramia explained that while the election results were “stolen”, the coalition was committed to returning the vote to the people and rejecting any involvement in the current parliamentary system.
“Parliament is illegitimate, therefore, we consider participation in this parliament as complicity in illegitimate actions,” he said.
