EU Foreign Ministers to send technical mission to Georgia

The European Union is increasing its engagement with Georgia following discussions by EU foreign ministers. According to Rikard Jozwiak, Europe Editor of Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty, a technical mission composed of officials from the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Commission will visit Georgia.

Additionally, the EU is considering granting a broader mandate to its Special Representative for the South Caucasus, which could enhance diplomatic and operational efforts in the region.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is also set to brief EU officials on the political and electoral situation in Georgia, signaling heightened attention to developments in the country.
