Protests continue in Georgia, demonstrators demand snap elections and EU integration

Protesters have gathered outside the Georgian Parliament on Rustaveli Avenue, continuing demonstrations demanding snap elections and expedited negotiations for European Union integration.

Waving Georgian and EU flags, citizens chanted slogans such as “Power to the people” and “The law is with the people”.

Simultaneous demonstrations are taking place in Batumi, where protesters affixed an EU flag to a bus belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Earlier in the day, student protests erupted across several schools, with some students walking out of classes to join the demonstrations.

The protesters remain steadfast in their demands, urging the government to prioritize the country’s European future and address public discontent through immediate reforms and fresh elections.
