Azerbaijani leaders extend condolences to Georgia over tragic fire in occupied Gali region

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed his condolences to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze following a tragic fire in the village of Saberio in the occupied Gali district, which claimed the lives of five children from one family.

“Mr. Prime Minister,
We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of five children in the fire in the village of Saberio, Gali district. On behalf of myself and the Azerbaijani people, I extend heartfelt condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the victims, and the entire Georgian nation,” Aliyev wrote in his message.

Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov also conveyed his sympathies in a separate letter to Kobakhidze, stating:

“Mr. Prime Minister,
It was with profound sorrow that we learned of the fire in the village of Saberio, Gali district, which resulted in the tragic deaths of five children. I express my deepest condolences to you, the families of the victims, their loved ones, and the entire Georgian people during this time of mourning.”
