The Georgian-Russian Business Association has been officially registered in Georgia. The association was entered into the official registry at the end of January.
According to the official extract, the association’s board consists of several members, all of whom hold dual Georgian and Russian citizenship. The chairman and board member is Zaza Nishnianidze. Other board members include Lavrenti Anchabadze, Vakhtang Karichashvili, Badri Kakabadze, and Davit Kharaidze. Additionally, the general director of the association is Marat Shaidaev, while the executive director is Giorgi Muskhelishvili.
The primary objective of the Georgian-Russian Business Association is to “support businesspeople involved in exporting goods to Russia”.
Levan Davitashvili, Georgia’s First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, has welcomed the establishment of the association. He claimed that coordinating with an organized business entity “simplifies communication and enhances efficiency in trade-related matters”.
