Zelenskyy announces another agreement with US

After securing a deal on rare minerals, Ukraine is planning to sign another agreement with the United States, this time focused on an investment fund, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.

“The next agreement will be more serious and complex—this will be about a fund, and it will involve a real partnership, money, and other aspects. The ratification of this agreement will be mandatory in the Ukrainian parliament. I do not know about the US Congress,” Zelenskyy stated.

Regarding the rare metals deal, which Ukraine and the US are set to finalize, Zelenskyy confirmed that 50% of the revenue from Ukraine’s rare resource sales would be allocated to the fund. He also emphasized the need for proper licensing and audits before implementation.

“Fifty percent of Ukraine’s revenue from rare resource sales will go into the fund. The next agreements will define how the partnership will function,” he explained.

On February 25, it was revealed that Ukraine and the US had agreed on the details of the deal, which is expected to be signed on February 28.
