Trump administration plans new travel ban including Russia and Belarus

The Trump administration is preparing to implement extensive travel restrictions affecting citizens from 43 countries, including Russia and Belarus, as part of an intensified immigration crackdown. This initiative categorizes the targeted countries into three distinct groups, each subject to varying levels of visa restrictions.

Red List (Complete Visa Suspensions): This group comprises 11 countries, including Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, and North Korea, which will face total visa suspensions.

Orange List (Partial Visa Suspensions): Countries such as Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan fall under this category, facing partial visa suspensions with stringent entry requirements.

Yellow List (Conditional Restrictions): A third group of 22 countries may see restricted visa issuance unless they address specific security concerns within a 60-day timeframe.

Citizens from Russia and Belarus, listed under the “orange” category, will encounter heightened scrutiny and limitations when applying for US visas. These measures reflect the administration’s focus on addressing security and immigration concerns associated with these nations.
