NATO has announced that Javier Colomina will become the Special Representative of the Secretary General for the Southern flank, according to a report from the NATO press service.
“The Middle East, North Africa, and the Sahel regions are important for our alliance. Javier Colomina has great experience in relations with NATO partners. His appointment will further strengthen the important work of NATO in the South,” said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
Javier Colomina currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and has previously held the position of Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
