Medvedev calls for expanded military operation, including Kyiv capture

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has called for the ongoing “special military operation” in Ukraine to take on a more aggressive and extraterritorial approach, specifically advocating for the capture of Kyiv. Medvedev made these remarks while commenting on the recent developments in Russia’s Kursk region.

“The special military operation should now acquire an open extraterritorial character. This is no longer just an effort to reclaim our official territories and punish the Nazis. It is both possible and necessary to advance into the remaining Ukrainian territories, including Odessa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Kyiv, and beyond,” Medvedev said.

He further emphasized that there should be no restrictions concerning “certain recognized boundaries of the Ukrainian Reich” and suggested that the expansion should be discussed openly, without diplomatic formalities.
