President Joe Biden welcomed Russian opposition leader Vladimir Kara-Murza and his family to the White House.
Kara-Murza, who has been a prominent critic of Russia’s war in Ukraine, endured two and a half years of imprisonment in Russia.
In his statement, Biden stressed, “due to his opposition to the Russian war in Ukraine, Vladimir spent two and a half years in unjust imprisonment in Russia. Today, his family is together once again.”
