The Yerevan-Tbilisi-Yerevan train will begin operating from September 3. South Caucasus Railway (SCR) reports that the train will depart from Yerevan on odd days of the month and on even days from Tbilisi. Estimated travel time is around 10.5 hours.
“Schedules can be viewed on the website www.railway.am, and tickets can be purchased at the ticket offices in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Armavir, and online,” the announcement reads.
The price of a ticket for an adult ranges from $34 to $68, depending on the class of the carriage. Children under 5 years can travel for free.
It is also noted that the Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan train will continue to operate on its regular schedule until October 1, 2024.
Previously, SCR reported that rail services with Georgia were restored on June 14 after being disrupted due to damage over more than 2 kilometers of railway caused by a devastating flood on May 26.
