A 55-year-old man’s body was found on Sunday in the village of Azizakend, located in Marneuli. According to available information, the man had been missing for four days after disappearing from the nearby village of Gajiskendi.
The man’s relatives suspect foul play, believing he may have been murdered, although they are unable to speculate on the motive.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 115 of the Georgian Criminal Code, which pertains to incitement to suicide.
