Nino Lomjaria, founder of the public platform European Orbit of Georgia, stated that the observation coalition My Voice has completed a comprehensive and thorough analysis of electoral violations. She noted that they continuously monitored approximately 1,131 polling stations. According to Lomjaria, they demanded the annulment of results from 246 polling stations across 29 electoral districts, a figure that has never been recorded in any previous elections.
“The observation coalition My Voice has completed a comprehensive and thorough analysis of electoral violations. We continuously monitored around 1,131 polling stations.
Additionally, we had 133 mobile groups observing dozens of polling stations, and throughout the day, we received information about interference with observers in 160 polling stations. Marking was not verified in 191 polling stations, was not conducted in 153 polling stations, and the secrecy of voting was violated in 365 polling stations. Physical altercations and pressure were recorded in 85 polling stations, and unauthorized persons were identified in 259 polling stations.” she explained.
Lomjaria added that the main focus during this election was solely on contesting serious violations.
’’There were so many violations that we could not contest every instance provided for in the code. We only challenged the polling stations where violations occurred that warranted the annulment of results. We demanded the annulment of results from 246 polling stations in 29 electoral districts, a number that has never been seen before in any election,” she stressed.
