Attacks on Russian military bases located deep within Russian territory, which are used to launch missiles towards Ukrainian civilian targets, are not just rhetoric but a concrete plan, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“If we want to win, if I want to win, if we want to save our country and protect it, we must remove all restrictions. I have spoken to partners, including the leader of the United Kingdom, the President of the United States, and the Secretary General, and I will present this topic with very specific facts. We know where they are, we know which military bases are attacking us. If they attack us and kill our children in hospitals, it’s absurd to ask why we can’t respond by targeting those military bases from which these guided bombs and rockets are launched,” Zelenskyy emphasised. “For me, this is not rhetoric but a real plan.”
According to Zelenskyy, this plan reflects the will of the entire Ukrainian nation.
“We are awaiting the support of our allies, and I am confident that our friends and allies will understand this. We have received very positive messages from the leader of Great Britain, and I hope that we will make the necessary decisions. If we truly want to secure Ukraine’s place on the map and prevent Putin from attacking other nations, we need to take very concrete and swift actions,” Zelenskyy added.
