Britain wants to tighten quarantine

The Parliament of Britain on Thursday, March 25, will consider a law introducing a fine for resting abroad during quarantine. The British for violating the restrictions are offered to be fined 7 thousand dollars.

This was reported by the BBC.

If British MPs support this document, then it will enter into force next week.

Foreign travel on vacation is prohibited and is now under a special rule, but it will expire on Monday. Therefore, if supported by parliament, from next week the ban on leaving Britain will become a special law, which will also be supported by the threat of a fine.

Currently, reasons for traveling abroad include: work, volunteering, education, medical needs, and attending a wedding or funeral.

As British Health Minister Matt Hancock explained, restrictions on travel abroad for recreation are needed in order to prevent the import of new strains and mutations of the coronavirus, which could jeopardize vaccinations in the country.

According to the current plan of the British government to ease quarantine restrictions, British residents will be able to travel abroad on holidays no earlier than May 17, but the third wave of coronavirus in Europe threatens such plans.
