British Airways to launch direct flights between London, Tbilisi starting Summer 2025

British Airways will commence direct flights between London and Tbilisi starting from the summer navigation season of 2025. The airline will operate four flights per week, the Georgian Economy Ministry said on Wednesday.

This new route will enhance connectivity between Georgia and the United Kingdom, as well as with the American continent, given British Airways’ extensive network and its strong links with the United States, the Ministry noted.

The introduction of British Airways’ service is expected to bolster tourism from Britain and strengthen economic ties between the two countries, the body stressed, noting ‘Britain is a key trade and economic partner for Georgia, and this direct flight route will further integrate the two nations’ economies”.

British Airways, headquartered at London Heathrow Airport, operates flights to 190 destinations worldwide. Currently, Georgia is served by over 60 airlines offering more than 100 regular flights to over 30 countries. Notably, in the first half of this year, Georgia welcomed over 3 million international travelers, with tourism revenue reaching a record $1.9 billion.
