The Georgian government on Friday announced the launch of a police settlement in Saburtalo district of Tbilisi, with 1,000 law enforcement officers scheduled to receive flats at symbolic price after the completion of construction in two years.
Prime minister Irakli Garibashvili said ₾125 million ($50 mln) would be allocated from the state budget for the project, and the beneficiaries would have to pay ₾300 ($120) per square metre.
The PM also praised the country’s law enforcement as “heroes” and pledged to proceed with the project.
