Tea Tsulukiani, Georgia’s Minister of Culture, announced her resignation during a speech at the jubilee event for director Gizo Jordania on Wednesday evening.
The minister revealed that her last working day as minister ends on September 26.
“I’m on this stage today because I need to say goodbye. Tomorrow will be my last working day. I don’t know what I’ll be doing in parliament or why they’re calling for a lawyer like me—who can be a bit of a hooligan, so to speak, and doesn’t hold back. Sometimes that’s a problem… I’ve been summoned, and I’m going. My new role will likely become clear soon,” Tsulukiani stated.
Tea Tsulukiani has served as the Minister of Culture since 2021. She is also listed among the top ten candidates on the Georgian Dream party list ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections. Political parties have until September 26 to submit their electoral lists.
