The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced on Thursday that 97 foreign nationals were expelled from the country last month. The removals were carried out by the Migration Department, which oversees immigration compliance and enforcement.
According to the official statement, some individuals departed voluntarily, while others were forcibly expelled. In all cases, those removed were issued entry bans in accordance with Georgian law.
The expelled individuals were citizens of India, Belarus, China, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Bangladesh, the United States, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Cameroon, Jordan, and Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry has not provided details on the specific grounds for expulsion or the length of the imposed entry bans.
