Georgia hosted the 3rd annual international conference for military professional education institutions for sergeants from NATO member and partner countries in the city of Batumi, as part of NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP).
The conference was opened by Major General Zaza Chkhaidze, Deputy Chief of the Georgian Defence Forces, who welcomed participants from NATO members and partner countries, expressing gratitude for their visit to Georgia and wishing them a successful event.
Discussions at the conference focused on the importance of training and educating the next generation of military personnel and the development of hierarchical systems for Georgian military technical specialists.
Key attendees included Georgia’s Chief Sergeant, Master Sergeant Giorgi Gogochuri, Colonel Zurab Khvichia, Commander of Training and Military Education of the Georgian Defence Forces, and other military representatives.
The event aimed to promote the development of military professional education for sergeants in line with NATO standards. The conference concluded with remarks from Burcu San, Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO, who thanked Georgia for its hospitality.
