Georgian Defense Forces celebrate artillery day

Today, the Georgian Defense Forces are celebrating Artillery Day. The 32nd anniversary of Georgian artillery was marked at the 5th Artillery Brigade in Vaziani. The Eastern Commander of the Georgian Defense Forces, Brigadier General Roland Dzneladze, congratulated artillery personnel on their professional day and emphasized the importance of artillery for the country’s defense. A similar event was also held at the 6th Artillery Brigade base in Khoni.

The celebration continued with an awards ceremony, where service members received medals of various ranks, commemorative gifts, and standard-issue weapons in recognition of their dedicated service within the Ministry of Defense. Prior to the event, defense officials honored the memory of fallen heroes who fought for Georgia’s territorial integrity by laying a wreath at the brigade’s memorial.

The artillery brigades also hosted the families of military personnel, allowing them to explore military equipment on display and participate in various entertainment activities at the bases.
