Georgian director Giorgi Markozashvili’s feature film The Burrow has been nominated in four categories at The North Film Festival in Sweden.
The Burrow is nominated in the following categories: Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Cinematography. Films from various countries, including the USA, Germany, Mexico, Canada, and France, are also represented in these categories.
The Burrow is Markozashvili’s debut feature film, and its premiere will take place on April 24, 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden.
The film’s plot centers on a young woman who is expected to testify in court as a witness. To protect her life, the Witness Protection Program is forced to temporarily hide her.
The main roles in the film are played by Otar Mikeladze, Data Gogiashvili, Lika Giorgobiani, Davit Tkebuchava, and Niko Kankia.
The North Film Festival Sweden will be held in Stockholm on April 24–25, 2025.
