The anti-European Union campaign by the Georgian Dream and its satellites has failed miserably as almost 90 percent of Georgians are now in favor of EU membership, MEP Viola von Cramon tweeted on Tuesday in response to the latest poll by the International Republican Institute.
The survey published early on Tuesday showed Georgian’s strong support for EU membership, disapproval of Russian citizens within the country, and a lack of faith in political parties.
When asked about the EU, 89 percent of Georgians either “fully support” or “somewhat support” joining the alliance, which represented an increase of four percentage points from the most recent poll, matching an all-time high.
