Georgian fans to gather for public screening of Ukraine-Georgia match in Tbilisi

Tbilisi City Hall and the Georgian Football Federation are set to host a public screening of the highly anticipated Ukraine-Georgia football match on Friday. A large screen will be installed at Republic Square to accommodate fans, allowing them to enjoy the game together in a festive atmosphere.

In preparation for the event, traffic restrictions will be implemented in the area. From 15:00 on October 10 until 14:00 on October 12, vehicles will be prohibited from accessing the road section between the intersection of Rustaveli Avenue and Republic Square to the intersection of Republic Square and Merab Kostava Street.

Cars traveling from Rustaveli Avenue toward Kostava Street will be redirected only to Mikheil Javakhishvili and Merab Kostava Streets.

Vehicles moving from Javakhishvili Street will be directed toward Tbilisi State Concert Hall, while those from Kostava Street will only be permitted to proceed towards Rustaveli Avenue and Freedom Square.
Public transport will also be adjusted during this period. The N359 bus will operate from Javakhishvili Street to Kostava Street before continuing on its usual route to Vake. The N457 minibus, heading toward Besik Street, will divert from Javakhishvili Street to Revaz Tabukashvili Street, connecting back to Rustaveli Avenue through Revaz Lagidze Street.

After the match concludes, several municipal buses will extend their service hours to accommodate the influx of fans at Republic Square. Buses N301, N306, N308, N309, N310, N314, N326, N331, N337, N342, N345, N352, N358, N359, N364, N388, N391, and N397 will operate until 02:00 on October 12. Tbilisi Metro will also remain open late to assist fans returning home.

The away match in the UEFA Nations League group stage is scheduled to take place in Poznan at 22:45 Tbilisi time on October 11.
