The Georgian government has declared January 9 a national day of mourning to honor the victims of the devastating fire that took place in the village of Saberio, located in the Russian occupied Gali region. The tragic incident claimed the lives of five children earlier this month.
In a decree signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the government confirmed that on this solemn day, all state flags will be flown at half-mast across Georgia’s administrative buildings.
The government has expressed deep condolences to the families and relatives of the children who tragically lost their lives in the fire, offering their heartfelt sympathy during this difficult time.
